1. The Whitsunday Islands, Australia
The Whitsunday Islands is made up of 74 different Islands on the northeast coast of Queensland Australia. The Whitsundays are known for their dense rainforests, hiking and most notably the white sandy beaches with turquoise blue waters. Also, a popular destination due to its proximity to The Great Barrier Reef, many travellers choose to go sailing Whitsundays to explore the islands before a trip to the reef. Most of the islands are uninhabited and protected, which means you may need to book a camping spot in advance. Boat accommodation is a popular option in the area to get from island to island, but there are camping and hotel accommodation available on the main islands with transportation options.
2. Koh Samui, Thailand
Koh Samui is a spectacularly beautiful Thai island which is known for its palm lined, white sand beaches, its dense rain forests, which are teeming with wildlife and its plethora of luxurious four and five star resorts. If you can pull yourself away from Koh Samui’s world class beaches, you may want to plan an excursion to the Big Buddha, a 12 meter tall, gold statue which can be found at the tranquil, idyllic Wat Phra Yai Temple.
3. Rotorua, New Zealand
Rotorua is known for its geo-thermal hot springs, which draw thousands of tourists per year. If you’re interested in soaking in gloriously warm water, which has been naturally heated, you have the option of visiting Kerosene Creek a public hot pool which is located in a lush forest, which features its very own waterfall or visiting a private spa. An example of the latter is the Polynesian Spa, which is located in the heart of Rotorua and offers mud based massages as well as a variety of thermal hot pools.
4. Vancouver, Canada
If your ideal overseas vacation involves spending plenty of time exploring the great outdoors and taking part in a wide array of adventurous pursuits such as fishing, canoeing, hiking, snow boarding and wildlife watching, it’s well worth organizing a trip to Vancouver, Canada. Where you’ll even be able to book a wildlife tour which will give you a high chance of spotting a brown bear in its natural habitat.

5. Honolulu, USA
Not only is Honolulu home to Waikiki Beach, which is arguably the wold’s most recognizable beaches, but Honolulu is also a great destination for those who are interested in history. As you’ll be able to visit Pearl Harbor, which was bombed by Japan during World War 2 and the Iolani Palace, which was once home to the members of the once powerful, Hawaiian monarchy.
6. Machu Picchu, Peru
It’s definitely worth adding a trip to Machu Picchu to your travel bucket list. Machu Picchu is a historic Pervian city which was originally built in the 15th century and overlooks the Urubamba River Valley. Which stands at an awe inspiring height of approximately 2,430 meters. While Machu Pichu was mysteriously abandoned in 1572, much of the city’s structures are still standing today, which makes Machu Picchu an excellent travel destination to visit!
